The Importance of Giving

The Rubicon School and Learning Center, just as every non-profit, relies upon the generosity of its parent community, board, friends, and supporters to advance the mission of the school.  As in most independent schools, tuition revenues do not cover the total costs of operating the school.  Our tuition and fee revenues cover about 85% of the total costs.  The remaining funds must come from gifts and pledges above and beyond tuition. The Rubicon School and Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, and all gifts are tax deductible.  Below are some of the ways you may support The Rubicon School and Learning Center:

Outright Gifts of Cash

Pledges

The Rubicon School and Learning Center gratefully accepts gifts that are paid over time. You can make a pledge commitment and set up a payment schedule that works best for you.  To make a pledge, please contact the school office 405-488-4459 or development@rubicon-learning.org .

Annual Campaign

An Annual Campaign is conducted each year to provide unrestricted funds for the operational expenses of the School not covered by tuition and fees.  We have two important goals for any annual campaign.  First, we have a monetary goal each year.  Second and equally as important, we have a goal of 100% participation in the annual campaign from parents, board members, faculty and staff.  High levels of participation reflect a high level of support for the school.  This helps the school make its case for support when seeking grants from government and foundation sources.  Participation is not dependent on the size of the gift.

Endowments

When you create an endowment or give to an existing endowment, your gift provides permanent support to our school. The money is invested, and each year a distribution is made from the endowment to support the program or area of your choice.  If you are interested in endowments, please contact the school office 405-488-4459 or development@rubicon-learning.org .

Rubicon Endowment Fund

Financial Assistance Endowment Fund

Currently, The Rubicon School and Learning Center provides financial assistance to its students from the annual operating budget.  The school is committed to creating financial assistance endowment funds from which distributions will help provide funding for financial assistance. You may contribute to the school with a designation for financial assistance, contribute to an existing financial assistance endowment fund, or establish a named financial assistance fund.  If interested, please contact the school office 405-488-4459 or development@rubicon-learning.org .

Special Gifts

Gifts-in-Kind

The Rubicon School and Learning Center welcomes gifts of tangible property that enhance the strength of its programs. Gifts-in-kind include items such as books, equipment, etc.  Please contact the school office regarding the kinds of items that the school needs. These gifts are tax-deductible; however, the valuation is the responsibility of the donor.
