Our Future
A Long Range Plan
Our Goal
Our goal is simple but ambitious.
We desire to become a nationally pre-eminent institution
for research, education, and treatment of autism spectrum
disorders and other pervasive developmental disorders.
But most importantly, we desire to become a place where children
experiencing such disorders are free to become fully themselves.
Phase I - Beginnings through Year 5
To accomplish this goal, we have developed a long range plan
comprised of three phases.
Phase I involves expanding the school to provide services
for children age 3 through young adulthood in grades preschool
through high school.
Our learning center will expand to provide diagnostic,
therapeutic, and clinical services to children, individuals, and
families. The center
will also provide training services for professionals involved
in working in this area, continuing education and training for
families and parents, as well as other community outreach
services.
Phase II - Year 3 through Year 6
Beginning in Year 3, we will initiate a search for a suitable site
for the construction of permanent facilities for the school and
learning center. A capital campaign will be instituted to
raise needed capital to complete construction.
Construction will begin in Year 4 with expectations that we will
move into the new facilities beginning of Year 6.
Phase III - Year 8 through Year 15
Phase III is the addition of the Rubicon Institute for Pervasive
Developmental Disabilities, a medical facility dedicated to the
research, study, and support of individuals with pervasive
developmental disabilities and their families. With the
completion of Phase III, families and children may receive
comprehensive treatment and therapies in one location.
